Position: Alumni Director

Nominations close on March 1, 2023 11:59PM. The board will vote and announce in the weeks following.

Position Description:

Maintain contact with formers
- Keep up-to-date information
- Coordinate with other directors (clinic and pageant) to invite them to big events via mail/email/FB
Post on the MRUSA Alumni group for continual involvement from the group
- Act as liaison for the alumni to share ideas or when they ask questions about upcoming events
- Should be continually encouraging alumni to get more involved (as a volunteer, sponsor, etc)
Finalize list of items offered to members
Create registration form (online & hard copy)
Process registration forms, collect money and keep track of current members (they pay yearly or are not a member anymore and shouldn’t continue to get benefits)
Create MRUSA newsletter to be distributed
- Work with Alumni for content as well as current MRUSA and other board members
Should play an integral part in creating alumni related event at the pageant.
Attend and participate in MAJORITY of phone conferences (approx. 8 per year total)

* This position will NOT be provided a hotel room at the pageant - but MAY be provided one night if they organize an Alumni event at the pageant.

How familiar are you with many of the former MRUSA’s? If not, how comfortable are you with reaching out to this specific group of women? *

What is your comfort level with FB and communicating with alumni in this manor? *

Do you have any experience or outlets to create mailers, invitations to events or a newsletter (paper or electronic). *

If we were to propose having an alumni-focused event at the pageant, would you want to organize this event? And do you have any ideas of what the event would entail? *

If you were selected, what goals would you have for this position during your term? *

If you held this position, you would become a voting member of the MRUSA Board of Directors and be involved in many decisions regarding our organization. What is your history or personal experience with rodeo/rodeo queen pageants? *

Do you have others in mind that you could potential ask to be a part of your sub-committee and help you with the tasks of this position? *

Are you available to attend the pageant each year during your term (approx. 2nd week in January in OKC) or do you have limitations on the days you can attend? *

Generally speaking, are you available once per month for a phone conference (usually at 6pm on a Thursday) *
