Prattville, Alabama
Jessie Lynn Nichols, “America’s Singing Cowgirl”, was bestowed the prestigious honor of being crowned the 57th Miss Rodeo USA at the International Finals Rodeo in Guthrie, OK on January 16, 2022. This week long competition was sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) and the Miss Rodeo USA Association. With this honor, Jessie Lynn becomes the eleventh Alabamian to hold this prestigious title and makes her mark in history by becoming the 6th Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo Queen to hold the Miss Rodeo USA title.
Jessie Lynn Nichols is the daughter of Bryan and Sherri Nichols (both native Oklahomans) and proudly resides in “The Fountain City” - Prattville, Alabama. She is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Communications and a Master of Science in Agri-Science Education. Miss Nichols has also been accepted into Auburn University’s College of Education Career and Technical Education Ph.D. program.
This genuine “cowgirl at heart” started her rodeo career at the age of 3 and has numerous national, regional, and state titles, as well as numerous world qualifications to her name. During her formative years, Jessie Lynn was heavily involved in her local 4-H Equine Program and spent over 2,500 hours giving back to her community. She also credits the sport of rodeo for her un-rivaled work ethic, drive, determination, and love of country music where she is a current member of the ACM, CMA, and Recording Academy, as well as a multi-award winning Country Music Entertainer, Songwriter, and Producer.
Having developed a love for horses and the art of teaching, Jessie Lynn established her first company (Alabama Extreme Equine Productions) at the age of fifteen. She continues to focus her teaching and horse training skills to assist aspiring equestrians to meet or exceed their goals. During her reign as Miss Rodeo USA, Jessie Lynn will be paying homage to her Cherokee Heritage by encouraging others to get out there and “Be a Dreamcatcher,” so they can live life to the fullest and reach their goals.
