Alyssa Marable
Southern New Mexico State Fair Queen
La Mesa, NM
Age: 21

Alyssa is the 21-year-old daughter of Annette and Wade Marable, and was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico where she still calls home. Representing the Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo, Alyssa has been involved with the Fair since she was 6 years old and went on to win the title of New Mexico State Fair Queen in 2019.

She is a Junior attending New Mexico State University working toward a degree in Agricultural Economics with a minor in Equine Management. After graduation, she hopes to one day own her own equine rehab center to provide therapy to injured four-legged rodeo athletes and get them back to the rodeo world. When she is not rodeo queening, you can find Alyssa running flags at numerous rodeos around the southwest, to include the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, as well as competing in barrel racing with the horses that she has trained.

If she could have one goal as the next Miss Rodeo USA it would be to encourage the younger generation to go for whatever they wanted in life… because you never lose. You either win or you learn something valuable.

Why do you want to be Miss Rodeo USA 2021?

Representing the International Professional Rodeo Association as the 2021 Miss Rodeo USA would be an extreme honor. Not only would it mean traveling the country doing the thing that I love, but it would also allow me to showcase the sport of rodeo to a younger generation, and maybe even to those who know nothing about our sport. As Miss Rodeo USA, it would give me the opportunity to educate others on the different levels of agriculture as well as our rodeo world. Our way of life is fantastic, and I believe more people need to learn experience it. If chosen, I would work hard to show others that a rodeo queen is not just a pretty face, but a worker and a representative of something that is much larger than herself. Rodeo is more than a sport to me. It is a big family that I am so proud to be a part of.
