Shannon Kerr
Ken Lance Memorial Rodeo Queen
Allen, OK
Age: 21

Shannon Kerr is the 21-year-old daughter of Kent and Shelley Kerr from the small town of Stonewall, Oklahoma. She has had a love for horses and the sport of rodeo since she was a child, and finally began realizing her dreams of competing when she turned 15.

She started her tertiary education while she was still in high school, and is now attending Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, with the goal of a career as a Veterinary Technician in her sights. She enjoys training and exhibiting her horses “Lakota” and “Starbucks,” and hopes to compete professionally in the IPRA.

Her primary objective as Miss Rodeo USA is to keep the sport of Rodeo moving forward, through these unprecedented and uncertain times. Her desire is to inspire up-and-coming generations to move toward their dreams. Don’t look back. Don’t stand still. Keep moving forward.

Why do you want to be Miss Rodeo USA 2021?

In 2015, I competed for the first time for a Rodeo Queen title. At that time, I was introduced to then Miss Rodeo USA, Kirbi Allen. Immediately, I was inspired by her, and made it my goal to become Miss Rodeo USA one day.

As Miss Rodeo USA, I would proudly promote the International Professional Rodeo Association and the sport of rodeo. I would use this platform to encourage young men and women to “Keep Moving Forward” towards achieving their own dreams.

As the representative for the IPRA, my desire is to cultivate a knowledge in people about the courageous and pioneering men and women of rodeo, who have created a legacy in the sport that continues to this day.
