Why do you want to be Miss Rodeo USA?

As a little girl, to feed my imagination and thirst for knowledge, my mom began reading old “Rodeo News” magazines to me as bedtime stories. My favorite stories were about Miss Rodeo USA. I first fell in love with Miss Rodeo USA’s lifestyle, her travels and what she did for the sport of rodeo. Once I saw a rodeo queen in person, the black and white “Rodeo News” ads came to life. Upon meeting the rodeo queen, I realized that my dream could become a reality.

Now as a rodeo competitor and a rodeo queen, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in multiple facets of the rodeo spectrum. I continue to love, admire and appreciate everything Miss Rodeo USA represents and does for our sport of rodeo. If chosen as Miss Rodeo USA, I would take great pride in being a liaison for not only newcomers interested in learning more about the sport, but also for the rodeo competitors. Rodeo cowboys and cowgirls are the action figures that spectators look forward t watching perform and as Miss Rodeo USA, I would take great pride in being their voice to the public. I can not dream of anything more rewarding than giving back to a lifestyle that has influenced and shaped me into the person I am today. The magnitude of this title would allow me to express my love and passion for rodeo to a broad audience and shed light on the positive assets that rodeo brings forth to our nation.
