Usually on day four of the pageant, several of the girls, as we say in racing, start to “pull away from the rest of the field”.
This year we have such a wonderful, even group of young ladies, that they are still “tightly bunched” on the far turn…
(I hope you do’t mind my racing lingo)
With the exception of a few minor bumps in the road, the girls have been making it very tough for the judges…
The girls have finished their morning interviews, and are getting ready for lunch at Charleston’s, then off to the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum for a private tour. Then it is time for the IFR43 Gold Buckle Gala, also at the Museum…
    Hope to see you there….

    Day 2:
First day of interviews with the judges went well. The original time to start was 8:00 am, but we started at 7:00. The girls were ready by 6:30, they kind of had a feeling we were going to throw a curve at them early in the week.
After the first six contestants met with the judges, they were brought to Tener’s Western Outfitters on Reno. Tener’s is the title sponsor of our fashion show at leadership Square, and they donate two outfits for the girls.
Each girl picks out their outfit they would like to wear. When the next group of six finished with their interviews, they were brought to Tener’s to pick out their outfits.
Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill is the next stop. Lunch and a fashion show are on the menu.
The girls modeled three outfits, and answered one impromptu question for the lunch crowd…
Back to the Wyndham Garden Hotel for a surprise, the pageant jackets have arrived…
Time for a couple of hours rest, before it’s off to Cattlemen’s Steak House at the OKC Stockyards…
